(Junior – Mid) Art Director (m/f/d)
Digital Design & Motion
About us and the role: Brand & Sales Activation with TAKTZEIT
We bring brands to life. We drive sales.
Across all sectors for international corporations, retail groups and renowned medium-sized companies.
Who are we? We are TAKTZEIT, the sales activation agency based in Düsseldorf – since 2005!
Our creative work is a key pillar of our success. We develop a wide variety of media and promotional materials for our clients: from online adverts and social media content to videos and digital brand experiences.
As an Art Director specialising in UX/web design, 3D and motion design, you’ll support our creative unit and work as part of a team of over 20 colleagues from the fields of project management, (web) design and, of course, web development.
YOUR PROFILE
Are you a strong conceptual thinker, creative and stylistically in tune with the latest trends? Are you keen to deliver top-class work with us and drive new initiatives forward? Then you’ve come to the right place – we’re looking for you to join our team with immediate effect!
Your Responsibilities
- You translate briefs into compelling digital visual solutions – from the initial idea through to final implementation
- You develop layouts for digital touchpoints: campaign landing pages, social media adverts, website elements, newsletter assets, presentations and moving images
- You conceptualise and design in Figma: UI-oriented layouts, components, templates, adaptations and well-organised libraries/guidelines
- You create motion design (e.g. for social media, adverts, websites, presentations) – and bring messages to life
- You produce 3D assets and animations (look development, lighting, simple set-ups through to elaborate scenes) – ideally in Blender
- You prepare your work for internal reviews & client meetings: clearly, in a structured and transparent manner
- You ensure that timings, feedback loops and files are transparent at all times (yes, including version statuses – we love order, but in a cool way)
Your Qualifications
Essential requirements
- Training or a degree in design or communication – or a portfolio that speaks for itself
- 1–4 years’ relevant experience (junior to mid-level) in an agency, studio or in-house creative role
- A strong grasp of concept, typography, composition, brand logic and digital craft standards
- Excellent skills in Figma (layouts, auto-layout, components, libraries)
- Excellent skills in Adobe Creative Cloud (at least Photoshop/Illustrator and After Effects)
- 3D skills (Blender essential): you can not only ‘get to grips with’ 3D, but also use it effectively for creative work (stills and animations)
- You promote an open culture of feedback: clear, respectful and solution-focused.
- You work in a structured manner, are reliable and are keen to develop your professional skills
Nice-to-haves
- Not afraid of print
- Experience with brand templates/PPT
- Expertise in AI-powered tools/automation
Your Benefits
- You’ll work in a friendly team with flat hierarchies and managers who treat you as an equal.
- With us, you’ll experience exciting projects and a varied workday. We provide all the tools you need to let your creativity run wild.
- You can actively contribute your own creative ideas and innovative solutions. We support you in your personal and professional development.
- You can organize your work hours flexibly and have the option to work from home part-time.
- You’ll enjoy cool agency offices with a rooftop terrace, football table, and our office dog, Amy.
